Nimble Concierge Organizes Home Office
Nimble Concierge can organize your home office. After a long day at the office who wants to settle down to more desk chores? Nimble Concierge suggests creating an inviting and calm space where you can work, but unwind too.
Here are an easy few steps to organizing your home office and make it as appealing as possible:
- Take everything off the surface. Evaluate what you really need. Ask yourself if there are bills that could be converted to paperless. Are there documents that could be scanned and stored electronically? Do it now and you won’t have to deal with them later. Get rid of any extra boxes or containers that hold junk. Get rid of that junk and organize that office!
- Put up a cork layer or bulletin board behind the desk with a calendar.
- Put back only what you need: Stapler, tape, box to hold wires and small items, pens, pencils and scissors in decorative holder. If you need a note pad, make sure it is bound or in a box so you don’t have loose papers every where.
- Add some decorative elements like flowers or a favorite picture.
- Organize papers into categories: Do Now, Do Later, File and Shred on the top of the desk. File everything else. If you find documents with important deadlines enter into your reminder list.
- If you have young children, make a folder for each of them. Train them to put paperwork in the folder. Teach them organization skills and time management by asking them to put the due date of any forms on the calendar. You might want to add deadlines to your reminder list at the beginning. Young children can do this with a parent’s help. They learn the days of the week, numbers and organization skills in the process.
- Some people like transparent folders so they can see what’s in the folder This is a personal preference. You can order transparent folders at your favorite office supply store.
